| “It’s still modern kind of great house music” could be the answer for all the enthusiastic people on the street to the question what the “Dirty House EP” is about. With the Vee 001 there is even a double debut to celebrate. On the one hand it is the impressive start for the young Label Vee Recordings from Kamenz and on the other hand it is the first release of the in Dresden located DJ and producer Steven Cock at all. Vee Recordings stems from Vekton Music. Whereas the big brother focused on MP3 releases it becomes obvious that the new sub label is going to publish the first record in a limited edition. Steven represents the Groove in the purest way possible. His tracks keep up with the times and are down-to-earth and timeless in the same way. Concentrating on the Groove as well as using the classical house music he was able to produce four house tracks that are impartial easy to go. It doesn’t matter whether he goes for a warm up, primetime or the after hour time – his tracks are always forward moving and come down to a warm and jolly atmosphere. In the end it is an EP which clearly states the intention of the Record Label Vee and which sets up a clear statement for the following publications. |

| Anneke Laurent presents his first release on Vee Recordings with four amazing deephouse and ambient tracks. The title track “Pitoo” is a nice, warm & groovy housetrack with an entering vocal.“Pitoo” became remixed in three different ways – remixed by Mandy Jordan, Terrik Mode and Steven Cock. The other three original tracks of Anneke sound a little bit more sombre and wonderfully emotional and offer never ending deep elements. We are looking forward to many more releases with Anneke Laurent. |

| Steven Cock just presents his second EP on Vee Recordings. “Under MySkin” is based on four distinctive tracks which are quite housy and groovy with a wide range of chord sounds and a good portion of soul. Steven’s tracks are totally natural and bright and are going to be enrichment to every house floor. This time those two tracks are remixed by Anneke Laurent and Dennis Reich who are living in Frankfurt Oder at the time. In the end it is a great EP with a deep background, swinging smoothie percussions and arrangements which get down to the point – definitively good dancing music. |
